Goal setting is power tool which gives you plan of action for your desired result. It helps you to focus on your objective and keep on trying for it.It’s a tool which makes us stretch down and grow in a way we never tried ever. It’s a powerful tool for setting up your desired future.
Most people aim at nothing in life and hit it with amazing accuracy !!A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked the elderly man, “Where does this road take me?” The elderly person asked, “Where do you want to go?” The man replied, “I don’t know.”It’s important to understand the importance of the goal and where it will take me.
Understand well what are your dream and goal then go for it. A human being dream of ideal future with better relations, financially sound future and good health .Give time to yourself to understand your goal. Clearer your goal more force you are .It shares your dreams and makes you more confident and more passionate you are. Think about things that you really enjoy, the thing that makes you exciting, all activities which make your blood moving. These are those things that you love most or you love to do for fun or for the living. What are the things that will you try will guarantee gives you success.
Take a piece of paper and note down what is your dream while doing it be rational and keep in mind all its aspect. Now priorities goal that is smarter and which will be first to achieve or the way you want to achieve them.
SMART goal means Specific ,measurable ,Attainable ,Realistic and Time-sensitive.
A goal need has all the above attribute to be fulfilled.
The goal needs to be the specific example you say you want to get marks in the exam is not specific. Now you say you want to get 90% marks in your board exam a bit specific now you say I have study hard all subject .. Incomplete goal produce incomplete future
Now you say I will study for 1/2 hour each subject daily with no distraction to attain 90% marks in each subject is the measurable goal .Another example Ruchi want to reduce her weight but she does not know how to start .if her goal is measurable she can reduce weight .Now she decided to reduce weight by 10 kg within 90 days .now she has to drink 3 liters of water with lemon and honey daily. (1 liter in morning, 1/2 liter in office and ½ liter in lunch ½ liter in evening ½ liter before going to bed) Note : she always keeps a bottle with her for water. Fast food only once the week only. She daily goes for exercise from 6 to 7 morning. She has to maintain daily eating plan according to a nutritionist .If Ruchi maintains that measurable goal for 90 days she can achieve her goal .
Therefore I say always set the goal that is measurable and attainable.
A goal is set in such a way that it is attainable .If there is no way to reach your goal you are setting yourself up for failure. It’s similarly as saving Rs 100 if you only have Rs 50 in your pocket .It’s important for you to have the goal should be measurable.
A realistic goal is rational It should be real. I think a large part of this is due to not having realistic goals – without something to shoot towards, it’s easy to get discouraged and give up. It’s difficult enough to make changes in our life and accomplish what we desire When your goal is unrealistic, its make it difficult and you are in no man’s land.
Every goal should have time frame stick to it. Every goal needs to have an end.with desired time frame.you can’t do the same things again and again without analyzing the problem and difficulties which are there which make its hard to achieve .Everyone does not want to be lack behind time is limited.A goal needs to be SMART enough to be achieved .
